The 45 Adapter is our mascot

The 45 adapter—sometimes called a “spider”—is a small but iconic piece of music history. Back in the heyday of vinyl, 7-inch records (the kind that spun at 45 RPM) were pressed with a large center hole, designed for jukeboxes. To play them on a standard turntable, you needed an adapter to bridge that gap.

Simple in function, unmistakable in shape, the adapter became a familiar sight anywhere records were spinning—from diners and living rooms to late-night parties where the needle never seemed to rest.

Over time, the 45 adapter took on a life beyond its utility. Its bold, geometric design became a visual shorthand for classic music culture—raw, analog, and timeless.

At Vinyl Fever, we’ve embraced it as part of our identity. It represents the era we love, the sound we chase, and the connection between past and present every time we hit the stage. What was once just a tool is now a badge of authenticity—and in our case, a business card you won’t throw away.

The business card!
